PRE-CONSTRUCTION
Aligning budget & program is best served at the beginning of the delivery process from a knowledgeable, experienced, and unbiased viewpoint. Most construction-related decisions come down to cost; the matter is when you figure them out. Our mainstay is forecasting where those costs will end up once the design is fully developed and priced by the General Contracting market. Designing more than can be afforded happens more than it should; our goal is to reduce capital outlay and avoid walking the design process backwards. Having both graduated college with degrees in Building Construction, Terry Rubke and Matt Salley began their professional careers working together for an Atlanta area General Contractor; Terry as an Estimator and Matt as a Project Manager. Following that initial period, Terry and Matt moved on to grow and further their respective skills with other firms before Terry founded T.K. Rubke & Co. in 2012 and they reconnected in 2018. Together, with a collective 45+ years of experience in Pre-Construction & Construction Management, they provide best-in-class professional services to the clients they are privileged to serve.
Terry
Terry is a proven leader in providing pre-construction & construction management services for a wide range of clients and project types. Since founding TKR, Terry has been an advocate for his clients and a catalyst for their projects. His “real-time” & unbiased approach to budgeting sets the foundation for establishing and maintaining the overall construction budget. This time-tested process gives his clients confidence of the Project’s cost, independent of a General Contractor, until the until the documents are suitable for market pricing. Prior to TKR, Terry spent 8 years as Chief Estimator for JE Dunn (d.b.a. R.J. Griffin & Company, Inc.). Terry began his career at Dudley Barrett Construction Co. as an estimator and project manager after graduating in 1999 with highest honors and earning his B.S. in Building-Construction from Georgia Tech. Terry lives in Milton, GA with his wife and two daughters, and enjoys spending time with his family, working in his yard, and being out on saltwater whenever possible.
Matt
Matt has a diverse background in operations, sales, and management. His varied skillsets give him the ability to be highly adaptive and provide strategic solutions to individual client needs. After spending several years as an executive within the software industry, Matt got back to his roots in construction and joined TKR in 2018, bringing with him his strong background in strategic planning and project management. From 2008 to 2013, Matt served as Vice President for Clark Productions, Inc., a national industry-leader in strategic technology and facility solutions, where he led the strategic planning and pre-construction efforts. Matt began his career in 1998 as a Project Manager for Dudley Barrett Construction Co. and from 2003-2008 worked at CCL Associates, a Construction Management firm where he managed the project life cycle for end-user clients. Matt graduated with high honors from Auburn University in 1998 with a BS in Building Construction. Matt and his wife, Robin, live in Alpharetta, GA with their three daughters.
